We provide a variety of appointments both with the practice Doctors and the Nurse Practitioner as well as the Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistant. The reception team will often ask briefly the reason for the appointment so that they can find the most suitable appointment. We can often offer you same day or next day appointments with the Nurse Practitioner who can prescribe and assist with many acute problems.
Routine doctor’s appointments can be booked up to four weeks in advance by telephoning 0161 929 1515 or are available to be booked online.
In addition we offer a set number of telephone consultations with our GP’s and Nurse Practitioners. These can be accessed in the usual way through one of the reception team.
Urgent appointments - appointments for those patients who feel they need to be seen the same day, will be first assessed by the Nurse Practitioner and dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Please be aware that you may not automatically be offered an appointment with the Doctor. The Nurse Practitioner will assess your case and either address your concerns themselves, arrange an appointment with the GP, either on the day or within the next 48-72 hours. Should the Nurse Practitioner arrange a same day appointment with a Doctor you may be asked to wait in the surgery or to return to the surgery at a later time.
We lose a great deal of appointment time each week to patients who fail to either cancel their appointments on time or do not attend at all. Please help us to reduce this number by advising us in good time if you cannot attend, thereby allowing another patient to be seen. Doing this by text (see below) is ideal.
Registered patients can access Saturday appointments via the hub clinic held at Boundary House Medical Centre, 462 Northenden Road, Sale, M33 2RH. Both Doctors and Nurse slots are avaialble by appointment only. To book a Saturday appointment please call the reception at West Timperley Medical Centre on 0161 929 1515
You can book/cancel appointments, order repeat prescriptions and view your medical records online.
